My name is Klara and I'm the person behind Girlhood. I've spent years working in tech, building a company, meeting founders, and trying to grow a strong network. And in most of those rooms, I was surrounded by men.
I did build a pretty solid network. But at some point I just got tired of shapeshifting to fit in. Tired of building a network that cost so much of myself to maintain.
So instead of chasing the right room, I built one.
A room where you don't have to adjust. Where you can ask the real question, share the actual number, admit the thing you're unsure about, and get genuine help from women who are building the same kinds of things you are.
And don't get me wrong, networking takes time. When I became a mom and realized that networking events once or twice a month were no longer realistic, it became even clearer: there had to be a better way to stay connected, grow your network, and actually enjoy the people in it.
